Isobel’s weight loss story

“I’ve been here four weeks now and the changes that have happened are incredible losing 6kg is only the start of it. My whole attitude to food and exercise have been addressed, I’m running for the first time in 20 years. I am becoming motivated to do exercise without monitoring from Vonnie and Neil. Each Sunday we will go somewhere different the beach, the rainforest, waterfalls etc. My accommodation is great with everything provided.

“Although I have a busy schedule I also have plenty of time to recover and enjoy the peace and quiet to read, relax or if feeling brave swim in the lagoon. Food, well its great, fresh and delicious never really hungry, Vonnie working well around any food restrictions I have. My programme (food and training) is being monitored and adjusted accordingly to meet my goals. I am made to feel extremely welcome and the personal and individual touch is amazing.

You even get the weekly treat of a 90min massage. Although it is a lot of hard work if you want to achieve change then Vonnie and Neil will help you get there and give you the tools and skills to stay there.”

Norma’s Story

61 yrs, recovering stroke victim, overweight and poor mobility.

I spent a week with Vonnie and Neil and I could not ask for better motivators or a more helpful couple.

In that short amount of time they got me to relook at my lifestyle and start to take responsibility for my health and wellbeing.

I lost 22cm overall in body shape and 4 kilos of body weight.

I was shown how to shop and cook to improve my wellbeing.

I have just enrolled in a small group with a personal trainer.

We have just had our assessment done and after 4 weeks and following the skills taught I have maintained the same body weight and shape. This is while travelling and hotel hopping.

It just took the right skills to be taught in the right way.

I have nothing but praise for the program and skills of Ignite Life Retreat and the dedication of Vonnie and Neil.

Julie’s success story

There are times in your life when some one comes along who will not only put you onto a new path in your life but also become a dear friend. I met Vonnie and Neil about 18 months ago, I had an injury from a horse riding accident that I thought would always leave me with one leg weaker than the other. Wrong. Vonnie worked out a cardio and weight program for me and I now feel like the accident never happened, whereas before I always considered the injury before I’d put one foot in front of the other. I over protected my leg. Now, 18 months later I have so much more strength and overall fitness, apart from the occasional knee twinge. I was never a gym person and much prefer the one on one sessions but Vonnie and Neil have built up a lovely clientele, people just like me (and you) and just saying hello to others as they come or go has introduced a whole new circle of lovely people in my life. Vonnie and Neil will work you hard but the gain is worth the effort,  nothing good comes easy. 

Ian’s Story

Over 60, overweight and declining health and strength, depressed

So, I approached Vonnie at Ignite Life to give me guidance and advice on a fitness and weight control program to return me to more appropriate weight, health and fitness levels. We discussed objectives, goals, process and methodology.

I have now achieved great results since starting at Ignite Life eight months ago. Vonnie makes me work hard, but keeps the sessions fun by incorporating lots of variety into the workouts. Her superior skills in exercise and weight selection and technique has enabled me to achieve my goals and more.

I feel as fit and as healthy as I did in my 30′s and always look forward to my twice-weekly sessions. The private setting and excellent equipment are matched by the care and attention from Vonnie, including the fantastic stretches and post-workout massage.

My wife, a rather reluctant exerciser, has been so impressed by my new-found fitness and energy that she has also started working out at Ingite Life and has really surprised herself by how much she has improved in just a couple of months.
